Background to “Citizen Hunch”

“Citizen Hunch” was an offshoot of the original “Crime Hunch” proposal, and along the lines of a rail-infrastructure app submitted in 2019 to two British government agencies.
In this case, “Citizen Hunch” was designed to be:
safe to implement;
highly respectful privacy-wise;
informing for ordinary citizens in that it strove to help them become aware of the detail of all criminality in their surroundings and communities;
and then, ultimately, empowering because it would be designed to make it progressively easier for mafia-like behaviours, both obviously criminal and nominally legitimate, to be exposed safely, with due and proper cooperation between citizenry and authorities.
