The history behind “Crime Hunch”
“Crime Hunch” was the second major project I undertook in the field of intuition capture and its validation. (The first was in the field of organisational, management and business consulting.)
It went through various iterations: it was presented twice in one year, with two different brandings, to the University of California at Berkeley’s SkyDeck Accelerator, on their request.
Finally, using the slide-deck below to sketch out the problem we were looking to solve, being “dark figure”, it was submitted for funding by an English university which works closely with the UK’s homeland security agency. In total, it would probably have involved an initial €30,000 to €50,000 euros to develop the “Platform Genesis” library of tools.
I walked away shortly after initial submission because the technologists who were reviewing the process weren’t interested in anything but an enhancement of existing architectures: precisely why we are losing the battle to anticipate nonconformist warfare.
