How do you predict terror?
Terrorists are immensely creative.
Yet we mainly fight their very inhuman creativity with tech, machines, and boxes of AI. We deliberately shy away from fighting fire with fire.
Here’s a question:
Imagine we chose to predict a new kind of terrorism: a neo-terrorism. A terrorism we couldn’t predict on the basis of our prior experience or knowledge.
Who would be best-placed to reverse-engineer the creative criminality of another 9/11 – before it happened?
A room full of machines and AI boxes of the latest generation?
Or a room full of the most talented Hollywood screenwriters?
